    Job Description:

    As an Obstetrics and Gynecology Teacher Assistant, you will support instructors in educating students about the medical field focusing on women's reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions. You will assist in creating engaging lessons, managing educational materials, and ensuring an enriching virtual learning experience that fosters student interest in obstetrics and gynecology.

    Start Date: January 6, 2025

    Time Commitment: 2–6 hours per week

    Position: Remote

    Responsibilities:

      • Assist instructors in delivering lessons on obstetrics and gynecology topics, including the female reproductive system, prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, and gynecological conditions.
      • Help develop and facilitate virtual lab exercises and interactive activities, such as simulated case studies, to enhance practical understanding.
      • Support students in understanding complex medical topics and concepts, offering individual or small-group assistance as needed.
      • Prepare, organize, and maintain educational materials aligned with the course curriculum and lesson objectives.
      • Encourage student participation in discussions about women's health, medical procedures, and ethical issues in obstetrics and gynecology.
      • Provide feedback on assignments and quizzes to track and support student progress.
      • Assist in managing and troubleshooting online teaching tools and platforms to ensure smooth class operations.

    Qualifications:

      • Pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
      • A solid understanding of women's reproductive health, pregnancy, and gynecological disorders.
      • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify and explain complex medical concepts to diverse student groups.
      • Proficiency with virtual teaching platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom) and familiarity with online educational tools.
      • Prior experience in tutoring, mentoring, or educational assistance is an asset.
      • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced educational environment.

    Requirements:

      • Recent Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance Check.
      • A reliable internet connection and access to a computer with video conferencing capabilities.
      • A passion for teaching and inspiring the next generation of medical professionals.
