    Position Title: Volunteer Speaker - Building a Support Network for Educational and Career Success

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a passionate, results-driven individual to volunteer as a Speaker for our Confidence Building Workshop. This role is ideal for someone committed to helping young mothers build a strong support system to achieve educational and career success. As a Volunteer Speaker, you will lead a 30-minute session focused on the importance of a strong support network, identifying local community resources, and offering practical strategies to navigate challenges like childcare, transportation, and financial aid.

    We’re looking for a passionate, results-driven individual with:

    • Experience in community outreach, social work, or career coaching.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse audience.
    • Knowledge of local community resources (e.g., childcare, transportation, financial aid).
    • The ability to facilitate group discussions and encourage participants to share and identify their own support needs.
    • Organizational skills to deliver a clear and structured 30-minute presentation, along with practical resources for participants.
    • A commitment to South Project’s mission of empowering young mothers and creating lasting social change.

    Nice to have:

    • Background in social services, counseling, or nonprofit work.
    • Previous experience working with underserved populations or young mothers.
    • Strong connections with local organizations or resources that support education and career success.
    • Passion for helping individuals build a strong foundation for future success.

    Time Commitment:

    • 1-2 hours for preparation and content creation.
    • 30-minute presentation during the Confidence Building Workshop.

    Location:

    In-Person - Richmond, TX
