Bridge the Walls: Become a Pen Pal to an Inmate

30 minutes a week, that's all it takes to make a real difference in someone's life.

The average person spends over 2 hours daily on social media. But what if we used just a fraction of that time to connect with someone who feels isolated and forgotten?

Many inmates are missing out on valuable volunteer programs, leaving them feeling disconnected and alone. But you can change that! By writing a heartfelt letter, you can offer them a ray of hope, a reminder that they're not invisible.

Your words can be a bridge, building connection and community, both inside and outside the walls. Imagine the joy of receiving a handwritten letter, filled with your thoughts and encouragement. It's a simple act, but it can create a ripple effect of kindness.

We're seeking caring individuals like you to become pen pal volunteers! By dedicating 1-2 letters per week for 6-12 months, you can create a meaningful connection with someone who may feel isolated or alone.

Through your letters, you can offer a listening ear, words of encouragement, or simply a friendly conversation. Studies show that pen pal relationships can significantly reduce feelings of loneliness, boost hope and optimism, and provide much-needed emotional support and connection.

If you're reliable, compassionate, and possess a positive and encouraging spirit, we'd love to hear from you!

Join us in becoming a pen pal! Every letter counts, and together, we can build a world where everyone feels valued and connected.

We encourage our amazing pen pal volunteers to aim for around two letters a week to every pen pal, building connections and spreading kindness, one letter at a time.

    Instructions:

Prison inmates are frequently forgotten by society, even their family members and those who were once their friends. Our mission is to promote friendship, understanding, and community through providing an anonymous letter service for inmates in prison.

In every pen pal correspondence, we assigned a six-digit alphanumeric code. This allows us to track letter recipients without having any identifying information on the letter itself. Kindly use this code when responding so we can ensure letters get back to their intended receiver.

Please be advised that each letter will undergo a meticulous review, adhering strictly to our guidelines to ensure the privacy and security of the information exchanged between pen pals. In some instances, certain parts of the letters will be covered or redacted. Please be assured that this is done solely for privacy and security reasons, and it is our commitment to safeguard the personal information shared through our service. Additionally, any form of request included in the letters is strictly prohibited. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

If you have any further questions or need clarification on any other guidelines, please don't hesitate to reach out.
