    Description

Hi, I am Adreana, the Volunteer Coordinator for Care360 Hospice in Northwest Ohio. We match our volunteers with patients and/or administrative tasks, which can be in-person or remote, that help to fulfill not just the needs of those we serve but the wishes of our volunteers too. Our volunteers spend time at bedside with patients and their caregivers, providing companionship to patients, celebrating birthdays, attending Veteran pinning ceremonies, helping with crafting projects, and supporting our bereavement team through mailings or bereavement phone calls. Hospice volunteers give more than just their time, they give patient's dignity and comfort during the their time of transition. You would be welcome to volunteer as much or as little as your schedule allows and in ways that fill your cup. We always provide education prior to volunteers beginning their assigned tasks and will support you until you feel comfortable being bedside or fulfilling your assignment.

Since we are a healthcare agency, we do require our volunteers to onboard as employees do; that means completing a background check and TB test. The expenses of these are covered by our company, and we complete these at our Toledo office M - F 8am - 4pm, but accommodations can be made if your schedule does not allow for this.

or request a paper application if you do not have easy access to technology.

Please let me know if you have any specific questions I can help answer. I would be happy to have a phone conversation if that’s helpful to you or we can go ahead and start with the onboarding process if you are ready to move forward. We are very excited for your interest and look forward to hearing from you soon! Our main office number is 419.913.7342.
