    Board of Director Vice President

    The board Vice President has the same duties and responsibilities as all other board members, including the duty of loyalty, the duty of obedience, and duty of care. The Vice President generally serves as a backup leader to the board president, so the board is never without leadership.

    These are some of the duties of a Vice President:

    • Runs board meetings as requested in the board president’s absence
    • Serves as the nonprofit’s spokesperson as needed
    • Assists with board president duties
    • Completes special duties as requested
    • Helps to make or enforce important decisions

    Requirements: Bachelor's degree / Master's of Business Administration (MBA) in related field, a combination of substantial experience in the relevant industry, demonstrated leadership skills, strong strategic thinking abilities, excellent communication skills and a proven track record of success in senior management roles. In addition, the applicant must possess the ability to lead and contribute significantly to the board's decision-making process while also supporting the Board President.
