Oversee the planning, development, and execution of a diverse portfolio of conferences, seminars, workshops, and other events. Works closely with internal stakeholders to understand event objectives, target audience, and desired outcomes, ensuring that events are strategically aligned and meet the organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Drive innovation, plans, and strategies that support the execution of EGF’s strategic plan, vision, and mission.
- Utilize extensive industry experience and knowledge to incorporate innovative ideas, best practices, and technologies to elevate EGF events.
- Create a flexible and responsive event operations structure and lead an innovative and collaborative event operations service model designed to maximize the impact of EGF-hosted events.
- Develop event strategies and concepts that result in optimal event experience for stakeholders, guests, faculties, and attendees while protecting and enhancing EGF’s brand.
- Oversee the Event Operations team to manage all aspects of event planning and execution and ensure excellence in every event, from large-scale international events and conferences to team member gatherings and meetings.
- Oversee the development, management, and reporting of event budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources, cost efficiencies, and sound decision making.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, foster strong working relationships, and promote cross-disciplinary idea generation and creative thinking.
- Develop a data tracking system and leverage data analytics to measure the effectiveness of events, gain actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions.
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration related field.
- Strong team player able to support and partner with the VP of Marketing the VP of Communications on a project-by-project basis, managing time and priorities appropriately
- Bias towards action, ability to effectively embrace change and drive process improvements.
- Strong communication skills with experience managing senior stakeholders and cross-functional projects.
- Curious nature, commitment to continuous improvement and talent for anticipating needs.
- 5-10 hours per month commitment to EGF.
