    What do we do?

We teach high school and college students how to code using project-based learning. Through hands-on projects, students learn coding by developing real-world software applications. Our students don't just learn programming - they build solutions that address community challenges and create positive social impact.

    Who are we looking for?

We seek a volunteer accounting professional to prepare our nonprofit's Annual Financial Statement and file the nonprofit's IRS form 990, as required for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status organizations.

    What are job responsibilities?

    • Review and analyze the organization's financial records, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and supporting documentation.
    • Ensure that the financial statements are prepared in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all applicable accounting standards for nonprofit organizations.
    • Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial information, including revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities, and net assets.
    • Identify any potential discrepancies, irregularities, or areas of concern in the financial records and investigate them thoroughly.
    • File the form 990 (Return of Organization Exempt From Income Tax) as required by IRS regulations for tax-exempt nonprofit organizations.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in accounting and financial reporting for nonprofit organizations, with a strong understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting standards for 501(c)(3) entities.
    • Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
    • Knowledge of IRS regulations and reporting requirements for tax-exempt organizations.
