    Description

    Come help us keep our community fed. We need volunteers to help get food out to the community. You will not be delivering to the community but will be helping us assemble food boxes in a safe and controlled environment. We need your help. Add this position to your resume!

    As a Volunteer Food Bank Customer Service Clerk, you will be responsible for providing support to Eloise’s Cooking Pot Food Bank and the food bank manager. On a daily basis, the volunteer food bank Customer Service Clerk will help organize and clean the food bank, organize incoming and outgoing deliveries, and help prepare food boxes.

    • Flexible Schedule
    • Start Date: ASAP
    • Receptionist for the office when needed.
    • Greet and provide general support to clients and volunteers.
    • Answer and direct phone calls.
    • Tidy the front office Maintain the office filing system.
    • File paperwork into the corresponding file.
    • Making copies of files when needed
    • Locating files when needed Perform other related duties as required.
    • Maintain office supplies by checking inventory and order items.
    • Organizing incoming and outgoing deliveries
    • Organize and stock food bank shelves.
    • Assisting other projects when needed
    • Assisting the food bank manager in the daily operations of the food bank includes sorting shelves, bagging on food.

    Qualification

    • Proficiency in MS Office
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Customer service
    • Ability to lift 50lbs.
    • Provide hands-on support as needed, including organizing and cleaning the food bank, making food boxes, and organize incoming and outgoing deliveries.
    • Work closely with the Food Bank Manager to assure that client delivery and all needed tasks are done as needed to maximize service delivery, efficiency, and joy throughout the process.

    The Food Bank is open for Drive-Up and Walk-Up services only. Which are in designated areas to service the clients safely.
