    Description

Needed: World Water Ambassadors (Remote)- on the promotion of water conservation and river conservation

World Water Hub: We are World Water Hub, an organization focused on increasing water awareness and education.

The Struggle: As we deal with the impacts of the plastic crisis, pollution, the fossil fuel industry, sea level rise, and more frequent and severe storms, our waterways are being critically threatened, threatening the health and well-being of our communities.

The Hope: We believe that change begins in local communities- whether that be doing a trash clean-up, increasing awareness on waste management, advocating for sustainable agriculture practices, etc. Our ambassadors will serve as leaders of their communities, whether that be at a school, on campus, or in their towns and cities.

    Responsibilities

    • Create and post regular content on social media platforms.
    • Plan and host events on and off campus.
    • Collaborate with other campus Ambassadors and attend meetings.
    • Work with student clubs and organizations (i.e. greek life, clubs, etc.)
    • Work with local community organizations.
    • Help with fundraising and other Hub events.

    Qualifications

    • Be a student at a university or college. All majors and locations are encouraged to apply! (Graduates may also apply to become International Ambassadors)
    • Strong communication skills and outgoing personality.
    • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn, share and grow.
    • The ability to spark conversations and maintain small talk with a diverse range of people is helpful.
    • Be engaged in your campus and larger community or be an active member or leader of a student club or other organization.
    • Skilled in finding relevant student and external community groups and fostering new relationships.
    • Active on social media with knowledge on how to run a social media platform.
    • Creative problem solver with excellent communication skills.
    • Able to manage multiple initiatives while working independently and remotely.
    • Team player
