    Description

    Volunteer Grant Writer

    Commitment: 6 to 8 hours per month

    Location: Remote/Virtual (Preference for volunteers located in San Bernardino County and Riverside County, California)

    Overview:

    ONE i/e, a 501c-3 nonprofit, is dedicated to empowering nonprofit leaders and entrepreneurs through education, networking, and resources. We are seeking a volunteer grant writer with expertise in applying for grants from local and state government agencies that fund economic or workforce development programs. This includes grants from agencies like the California Employment Development Department. The grants will support mentoring and workshops for entrepreneurs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Grant Research: Search for grant opportunities on public charity databases like GrantStation and Foundation Directory Online.
    • Proposal Writing: Tailor proposals to each foundation's specific giving priorities and geographic focus.
    • Application Submission: Prepare and submit grant applications to local and state government agencies and private foundations.
    • Collaboration: Work with the ONE i/e team to gather necessary information and ensure proposals align with organizational goals.
    • Tracking: Monitor and report on the status of submitted grant applications.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in grant writing, particularly for economic or workforce development programs.
    • Familiarity with public charity databases like GrantStation and Foundation Directory Online.
    • Strong research skills to identify potential funding opportunities.
    • Excellent written communication skills to craft compelling and persuasive grant proposals.
    • Ability to tailor proposals to specific giving priorities and geographic focus.
    • Ability to commit 6 to 8 hours per month to grant writing activities.
    • Preference for volunteers located in San Bernardino County and Riverside County, California.
