Purpose:
We are seeking a Recruiter who can work in the human resources department of the Restoring.Our.Youth.Organization Inc. Our Recruiter will help connect qualified candidates to the job that best fits them within the organization. We need someone who can take charge of seeking out equipped candidates, confirming their qualifications and placing them in open roles in our organization. The organization Recruiter will use databases, marketing, and their professional network to find candidates. The Restoring.Our.Youth.Organization team encourages a fun environment, and we seek the same energy from our recruiters. Supervisor:
This individual reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and People.
Responsibilities:
- Help refine job descriptions to make sure they accurately reflect the needs of the organization.
- Research candidates then talk to them about the opportunity that they seek.
- Research job seekers and invite them to apply to the job.
- Screen candidates through phone interviews.
- Assist in filling out hiring paperwork.
- Help onboard candidates to their new team, assisting with all parts of their transition.
- Process applications, schedule interviews and help manage new hire paperwork.
- Prepares and submits reports as requested including recruitment log and data
- Performs related duties as required.
- Attend seminars and meetings to learn new recruiting methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future recruiting efforts.
- Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with leaders to discuss needs.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must be in agreement with and committed to upholding R.O.Y Organization’s Motto Statement, and Statement of Values, as well as its stated Mission and Vision.
- Must have evidence of and a commitment to practice a high level of confidentiality
- Must be flexible and be able to work in a high change, quick paced environment.
- Must be a team player and be willing to receive and act on the direction, and motivated to take on responsibility to completion.
- Should be self-motivated.
- Should be available for occasional travel.
- Establish and maintain highly professional effective working relationships with senior management, and other appointed officials, including staff, community and business leaders, donors, board members, and others encountered in the course of work.
- Use a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive situations and concerned groups and/or individuals.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- At least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is highly preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
- SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
