    Responsibilities:

    • Fact-check sources and research within articles to ensure accuracy.
    • Maintain the writer's original voice while improving readability and coherence.
    • Coordinate with the Editor-in-Chief to manage deadlines and content flow.

    Requirements:

    • Strong editing skills with experience in proofreading and copyediting.
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent command of grammar, punctuation, and writing style.
    • Passion for healthcare, social justice, or health disparities is highly desirable.
    • Ability to give supportive, constructive feedback to volunteer writers.
    • Experience with content management systems (CMS) is a bonus but not required.
    • Comfortable working closely with leadership to ensure content aligns with Symptone’s vision.

    What We Offer:

    • A chance to work closely with Symptone’s Editor-in-Chief and contribute to a mission-driven organization.
    • Opportunities to develop your editing, leadership, and communication skills.
    • Experience working with a diverse, passionate team of writers and contributors.
    • Flexible, remote work environment.
