    About Us

In April 2020, a group of strong Christian men began meeting online to encourage, connect, and help one another overcome the vicious attack that the early COVID-19 crisis was making on our mental, relational, and spiritual health. A few years later, this weekly virtual gathering became Men On Purpose, Inc., a bona fide 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that brings light to the world by developing men into influential servant leaders, which we achieve primarily through community (regular virtual gatherings for support, encouragement, relationship-building, and koinonia fellowship), coaching (practical biblical teaching and challenges with high emphasis on application, accountability, and life change), and content (inspiring and impactful digital content for men at all stages of their faith journey). Still a fledgling community reminiscent of the small cloud as a man’s hand seen by the prophet Elijah, we are poised and excited to grow and achieve impact at scale moving forward in our mission “to exert kingdom influence on families, organizations, communities, and the world by empowering men with life-transforming wisdom.”

    Role Overview

The Growth Director (GD) helps provide leadership and strategic direction for both the daily operations and long-term prosperity of our ministry organization. As GD, you will oversee systems and implement processes for sales, communication, and information/content management, in a way that consistently maximizes audience engagement, increases revenue, and drives organizational growth and impact. Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Creative Director (CD), this collaborative work involves strategically and effectively co-managing all of our digital/communications assets (i.e., website, podcast, social media, e-newsletter, email list, CRM, Zoom recordings, videos, other marketing and branding vehicles, etc.) in tandem to achieve our ministry and organizational goals. Success for the Growth Director role will mean ensuring that all MOP content and communication effectively conveys our gospel-rooted / kingdom-based messaging, captures the hearts and minds of our audience, compels favorable action and/or change, and successfully matriculates constituents all the way through the engagement pipeline (e.g., converts viewers into subscribers, prospects into donors, seekers into paid members, bystanders into volunteers, etc.).

Some of the role’s essential goals and KPI at end of term include:

    • Number of new monthly leads = 500 prospects
    • Number of new memberships sold = 600
    • Total monthly sales revenue = $5,000
    • Membership retention rate = 70%
    • Membership referral rate = 5%

    Key Responsibilities

    Marketing & Sales (50%)

    • Help create, own, and implement a master sales strategy to achieve sales targets. Current core offer is the general MOP membership, though future offers may include exclusive benefits at higher membership tiers, courses, merch, speaker bureau, personal coaching services, and more.
    • Spearhead revenue generation strategy and processes. Serve as resident expert on digital sales, marketing, and communication trends and strategies. Use knowledge and expertise to advise, inform, and make recommendations for staff.
    • Effectively and expertly own, frame, and communicate the unique value proposition of MOP to a wide array of audiences, both external and internal (e.g., current or prospective donors, members, vendors, social media followers, etc.) through direct personal messaging (e.g., phone call, email, “talking head” video presentation, live conversation, etc.) and indirect messaging (e.g., social media posts, scriptwriting, drafting language for marketing copy, etc.).
    • Support lead generation efforts through targeted market analysis and digital marketing campaigns. Collaborate with CD, helping guide and inform pay-per-click advertising, search engine optimization (SEO), web analytics, and/or other related methods to drive traffic and engagement.
    • Help create, manage, and optimize landing pages, offers, and sales funnels, converting leads into paid members and ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
    • Conduct prospecting activity including cold-calling, networking, and other outreach to increase membership and support growth efforts.
    • Collaboratively monitor and report on digital marketing performance, analyzing web traffic, conversion rates, and other key metrics.
    • Coach, motivate, inspire, or otherwise influence constituents (e.g., staff, members, social media followers, prospective donors, etc.) to “buy in” to MOP mission and initiatives (e.g., encouraging active engagement in social media campaigns, promoting active participation in MOP events and activities, offering language and strategies that constituents can leverage to help others buy in and take action, etc.) in a way that serves the Kingdom, advances the MOP mission, and fosters a singleness of heart, voice, and purpose.

    Member Support & Engagement (20%)

    • Inform and help support member engagement, promoting a positive, value-rich member experience. Conduct periodic courtesy calls to members to foster engagement, garner buy-in, and strengthen relationships. As appropriate, help address and resolve member satisfaction issues promptly, professionally, and (when necessary) prayerfully.
    • Assist in upselling to higher membership tiers by promoting membership benefits and additional services.
    • Request and obtain member referrals to help grow our ministry and reach new audiences.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of weekly online ministry meetings, ensuring smooth logistics and a positive member experience. Regularly attend, support, and engage actively in core ministry events (e.g., #ManhoodMonday sessions, Friday morning prayer calls) as well as occasional special events.
    • Consistently exhibit grace, understanding, discretion, persuasiveness, selflessness, servant leadership, and spiritual maturity, especially as it relates to handling objections and resolving conflict.

    Communications & CRM Management (20%)

    • Collaboratively steward all MOP content and communication assets, such as assisting with managing and updating social media accounts (Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.). Engage with followers, subscribers, visitors, etc., gathering and monitoring user behavior data, trends, contact information, etc., where applicable. Update member database and CRM systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date records for prospects, members, and other constituents.
    • Support internal messaging (e.g., weekly e-newsletter, general announcements, etc.) and external digital content creation and delivery (e.g., sales/pitch deck, social media posts, mass email/text campaigns, infographics, etc.), ensuring content is timely, relevant, high-quality, and pursuant to sales, retention, member satisfaction, and organizational growth goals.
    • Assist with the management of the company’s email account, responding to inquiries and forwarding messages as necessary.

    General / Other (10%)

    • Serve as a compelling, culture-carrying ambassador, embracing and reflecting our ministry and its core values through every interaction, inside and outside of the sales process. This includes faithfully representing Christ, MOP, and yourself, whether through live or virtual encounters (e.g., sales calls, networking events, ministry gatherings, church visits, social media engagement, etc.) and positively reinforcing the MOP brand in all ways, at all times.
    • Maintain confidentiality and security of all sensitive files and information to which this role has access, now and in the future.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Passion for Ministry: A heart for men’s ministry and a deep understanding of the Christian faith and community. Spiritual maturity and alignment with the mission and values of our ministry are essential.
    • Experience: 5+ years of sales and/or progressively responsible administrative leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit or faith-based environment. Experience in member services, customer support, digital communication, or human resources is ideal.
    • Skills: Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), excellent organizational abilities, and attention to detail. Excels in emotional and relational intelligence.
    • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with customer relationship management (CRM) software, email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Podia), social media platforms, and basic digital marketing tools and approaches (e.g., Google Analytics, PPC, SEO).
    • Sales & Marketing: Experience with lead generation, market analysis, and membership sales.
    • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Must be humble, open to diverse perspectives, receptive to constructive feedback and challenges, and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.

    Working Environment

    • Remote Position: This position allows for flexibility and remote work, but requires a reliable internet connection and the ability to manage responsibilities independently.
    • Part-Time: Approximately 20-25 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling.
    • Compensation: This volunteer role offers a stipend. The terms of the stipend will be discussed with qualifying candidates during the interview process.
    • Work Duration: This position is Temporary (contracted for 6-month term commitment) with strong potential for becoming a permanent role. In the ideal scenario by the end of the term, the Growth Director’s fit, effectiveness, and productivity are all strong enough to make permanency the clear next step. The GD role also does not currently have any direct reports although we envision for this role to supervise staff and/or lead an internal team in the future.
    • Collaborative Culture: You will work closely with the CEO, Creative Director, and other ministry team members in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.
