    Volunteer Audio/Video Editor

    Role Overview

    As a Volunteer Audio/Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and reach of Kaiyros' multimedia content. You will be responsible for editing, refining, and producing high-quality audio and video content that aligns with our mission and engages our audience.

    The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about the intersection of mental health, creative expression, and social analysis.

As part of our mission, we produce multimedia content that complements our written publications, including video essays, audio-articles, and interviews.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Edit and produce audio and video content, including interviews, audio recordings of articles, and video essays.
    • Enhance sound quality, mix audio tracks, and apply necessary corrections to ensure a professional listening experience.
    • Edit video footage, add graphics, transitions, and captions where necessary.
    • Work with content creators and writers to align multimedia content with Kaiyros' storytelling goals.
    • Assist in repurposing existing content for various platforms, including YouTube, social media, and Kaiyros' website.
    • Ensure consistency in branding, tone, and messaging across all multimedia content.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Experience with audio and video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Audacity, or DaVinci Resolve).
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, engaging multimedia content.
    • Ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with the team.
    • Understanding of storytelling, pacing, and effective visual/audio presentation.
    • Knowledge of social media and video platforms (YouTube, Instagram, etc.) is a plus.
