Executive Director/CEO for Learning Options*Open Portal

Continue a 50-year tradition of research and programs that support learning with a focus on innovative and appropriate technologies. The Executive Director (ED) oversees and administers all tasks necessary to keep a California nonprofit corporation in compliance with State and Federal regulations and fiscally thriving while delivering programs that promote learning for children and adults. LO*OP Center serves as an incubator for projects that operate independently under the leadership of a Project Director. Although the ED may also direct a project, the primary role is administrative requiring skill in accounting, fundraising, promoting the organization's brand, recruiting volunteers, advising and coordinating both the Board of Trustees and Project Directors. Under the leadership of its founder and current ED, LO*OP Center has remained small and staffed by volunteers. Although its nonprofit charter is broad, projects have typically aligned with the interests of the ED. Future directions will be determined by the new leadership.
