    Creshendo is a nonprofit organization focused on empowering and integrating displaced populations. Through our innovative, community-led programs, we equip migrants and refugees with essential tools to build self-reliance, advocate for themselves, and navigate new environments.

    Role Overview

    As the Director of Grant Writing, you will play a crucial role in securing funding that fuels Creshendo’s mission. We are seeking a highly skilled individual with experience in grant writing, a strong understanding of nonprofit funding, and a proven track record of successful grant applications.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Grant Research & Identification: Identify and research potential funding opportunities (domestically and internationally) that are aligned with Creshendo’s mission.
    • Proposal Writing: Develop compelling, tailored grant proposals that effectively communicate Creshendo’s vision, programs, and impact.
    • Grant Management: Oversee the grant application process, track deadlines, and ensure timely submissions.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with program leaders and the fundraising team to understand funding needs and incorporate program details into applications.
    • Funding Strategy: Contribute to Creshendo’s funding strategy by identifying new grant opportunities and building relationships with foundations and grant-makers.

    Qualifications

    Ideal candidates:

    • Have a demonstrated history of successful grant writing for nonprofits.
    • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
    • Excellent research skills.
    • Basic understanding of nonprofit fundraising and grant-seeking.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
    • Commitment to at least 5 hours per week.
