    Description

Making a Difference | Volunteering for an hour each week makes a difference in the life of a spouse, or caregiver and gives them the chance to run to get groceries, do banking and more

Volunteering for an hour or two a week may not seem like much but to someone who is caregiving and with a patient it makes a difference.

A chance to run and get a few groceries, do banking, pick up prescriptions, and pick-up supplies lifts a load of anxiety off the person who is care giving and problem solving much of the time.

Our volunteers are first trained with a simple and basic orientation, Then once they get past the first steps of our volunteering protocol they volunteer with a family for an hour or two each week. Scheduling is based on what the volunteer is able to do.

Often times it is being a compassionate presence for our patients.

We can also do more with our lives for others and make a difference.
