    We need animal lovers like you to help us in our mission to safeguard, rescue, heal, adopt and advocate for animals while inspiring community action and compassion. At BARCS, volunteers are more than just a tremendous help to our mission--they are our lifeline and our family. Our volunteers help us care for the animals and operate our programs in a variety of different areas.

    Our Neighborhood Outreach team supports struggling pet parents in some of Baltimore's most in-need and under-resourced communities. They are dedicated to supporting the health and wellness of Baltimore's families, at both ends of the leash. They host spay and neuter days and wellness clinics with full service vet exams/microchipping/vaccinations. We need volunteers to help at these events from every area from assisting with paperwork, answering questions, organizing giveaway items, and so much more!
