    About

Founded by Janina Peter and Malish James, Bridging Gaps introduced a pay-it-forward community microloan model to address food security and poverty among refugees. By merging charity and microfinance, we empower entrepreneurs and create sustainable financial structures. Our digital platform secures donations from Europe and the global north, transforming them into microloans that ripple through the community. Unlike traditional repayable microloans, our model is based on a pay-it-forward approach. As businesses thrive, loans are passed on to new entrepreneurs in the same community, creating a sustainable ripple effect of new initiatives and, long-term, new independent financial structures. Donors receive continuous updates on the impactful stories of the entrepreneurs they support through our digital platform, fostering a sense of connection and engagement with the community. This innovative approach not only addresses immediate needs but also promotes lasting, self-sustaining initiatives. We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Happiness Manager. This role provides a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to our mission while developing your professional skills in team engagement, well-being initiatives, and organizational culture enhancement.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and implement team-building activities to strengthen relationships and enhance collaboration among team members.
    • Develop initiatives to promote well-being, motivation, and engagement within the team.
    • Organize learning and development opportunities, including workshops, webinars, and skill-sharing sessions.
    • Act as a point of contact for team members, providing support and addressing any concerns related to morale and team dynamics.
    • Promote a positive organizational culture that aligns with Bridging Gaps' values and mission.
    • Monitor team satisfaction levels and provide regular feedback to leadership with recommendations for improvement.
    • Foster inclusivity and diversity by ensuring that every team member feels valued and appreciated.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in team management, human resources, or a related field.
    • A creative mindset with the ability to organize engaging and fun activities.
    • Passion for promoting well-being and a positive work environment.
    • High level of empathy and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
    • Experience in organizing learning opportunities and professional development is a plus.
    • Prior experience working in an international environment, demonstrating adaptability and cultural sensitivity.
    • High level of integrity and dependability.
    • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to convey ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
    • Proficiency in German is a strong asset.
