Position Overview

The Social Media Manager is pivotal in enhancing Youth Action Services' online presence and engagement through strategic management of all social media platforms. This role involves hands-on content creation, curation, and oversight, ensuring brand consistency and message impact. The ideal person will support focus on content creation, event coverage, and audience engagement across digital platforms.

Essential Job Functions

• Strategic planning and goal setting for Youth Action Services' social media presence.
• Boosting brand awareness and online reputation.
• Managing content across YAS digital platforms, including the website.
• Publish high quality, original content (images, video, written, and audio/podcast).
• Implementing a content editorial calendar for timely and relevant marketing campaigns.
• Ensuring comprehensive event coverage for dynamic social media content.
• Editing video and image content for engaging posts.
• Conducting interviews to share compelling stories.
• Utilizing analytics to guide strategy and demonstrate ROI across metrics such as audience growth, engagement, and content reach

Education/Experience:

• Degree/experience in marketing, communications or the liberal arts
• Deep understanding of social media trends and platforms
• Ability to balance creative marketing with analytic rigor.
