Volunteer Ombudsman positions are available throughout the state of Idaho. An ombudsman is a person who advocates for people living in assisted living and nursing homes. Ombudsman can also investigate concerns and problems in long-term care. People of all backgrounds are welcome to volunteer. We will provide you with the necessary training for this role.
The ideal Ombudsman:
You will need to fill out an application, interview, and pass a background check. From there you will attend online training. Afterward you will receive a certificate and badge allowing you to enter a long-term care facility at any time.

This position is available at long-term care facilities in the Boise area, allowing you to select a facility or facilities in your vicinity. This includes Ada, Adams, Boise, Canyon, Elmore, Gem, Owyhee, Payette, Valley, & Washington.
