**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Recruitment:** Collaborate with the RVSO to support Red Cross units in recruiting health professionals, work with regional and national health organizations, and ensure recruitment aligns with community demographics.
- **Engagement:** Help engage nurses and health professionals, maintain relationships with community partners, and update contact lists and activities.
- **Recognition:** Nominate professionals for awards, write or facilitate newsletter articles, and share successes with Nursing Network leaders and through various channels.
- **Academic Service-Learning:** Develop relationships with academic organizations and serve as the AS-L Volunteer Coordinator or champion.
- **Workforce Well-Being:** Promote the Well-being toolkit, access resilience training, and support regional well-being initiatives.
**Achieving Chief Nurse Initiatives:**
- Coordinate meetings for regional nurses and health professionals, involving relevant colleagues and partners.
- Recruit Nursing Network Team Members.
- Build strong relationships with key regional leaders, including RVSO, business line leadership, and the CEO.
- Encourage health professional volunteers to update their license information and submit volunteer hours in Volunteer Connection.
- Submit personal volunteer hours in Volunteer Connection monthly and maintain an updated profile.
- Complete an annual report on goals and achievements.
- Recruit and mentor potential replacements with RVSOs and DNLs.
**Qualifications:**
- Active, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN preferred), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, with no adverse actions by any state/territory Board of Nursing.
- Knowledge of Red Cross structure, systems, and services.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Passion for the Red Cross mission and programs.
- Willingness to understand all Red Cross business lines.
- Collaborative spirit with nurses and health professionals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in team building, talent management, and succession planning.
- Understanding of nursing and health professional volunteer roles.
- Ability to manage projects, lead change, and work with remote teams.
- Familiarity with local networks and organizations.
- Proficiency in telephonic and computer technology, basic office software, and social media.
- Commitment to public health and Red Cross policies.
