    Description

    • The Treasurer presents a financial report at each board meeting and prepares and presents the annual financial and audit report to the board. Board officers and members rely on financial reports to guide decisions in all areas of governance.
    • Treasurers must have number literacy, organization, and time management.
    • Have to know how to perform basic math functions quickly and evaluate number sets for accuracy and staying organized.
    • Oversees the general financial management of an organizing committee.
    • Plan and keep track of budgets within the organization, collect, deposit, and keep track of funds, write checks, and provide financial reports regularly to fellow committee members.
    • The Treasurer is a financial watchdog, ensuring the protection of the committee’s funds.
    • The Treasurer is also responsible for reconciling bank statements and managing cash flow.
    • They help with fundraising efforts to better the committee’s financial state.
