Weekly Volunteer Animal Caregiver

Farm of the Free Animal Sanctuary is seeking compassionate, reliable individuals to join our team of Weekly Volunteer Animal Caregivers. Volunteers play a vital role in our mission by helping give dinner and tuck in our rescued farm animal residents each evening. This is a hands-on opportunity to build meaningful connections with animals while supporting a nonprofit dedicated to compassion, community, and liberation.

What You'll Do:

• Feed and provide fresh water to residents (dogs, goats, sheep, chickens, cows, and donkeys)
• Safely guide animals into their sleeping spaces for the night
• Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to ensure smooth shift coverage

What We’re Looking For:

• Volunteers who can commit to one regular evening per week (under three hours)
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to lift 30 pounds, bend, walk, and do physical tasks on uneven ground
• Punctual, dependable, and communicative

We are a fully vegan sanctuary. All food brought on site must be 100% plant-based, with no exceptions.
