Overview:
We are seeking board members to join our emotional competence consultancy and provide strategic leadership and guidance as we work to provide on-site therapy services to youth ages 12-25. The board member will work collaboratively with other board members to set the direction and goals of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the organization
- Attend and participate in board meetings and committee meetings
- Collaborate with other board members to set goals and priorities
- Help to identify and secure funding opportunities for the organization
- Support the organization's fundraising and outreach efforts
- Help to build relationships with potential partners and clients
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Board Chair or consultancy leadership team
Requirements:
- Experience serving on a board of directors or equivalent leadership experience
- Familiarity with the mental health field and the importance of emotional competence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and provide constructive feedback
- A commitment to the values and mission of the emotional competence consultancy
Time Commitment:
- Minimum of a two-year commitment, with the option to renew
- Able to commit to attending at least 75% of board meetings and committee meetings
- Able to commit to volunteering an additional 5-7 hours per month on board-related activities
