Location: Racepath Community Center
Time Commitment: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
About Us:
Phoenix Renaissance, Inc. is dedicated to empowering the Racepath community through education, health, and economic development programs. Our Racepath Community Center Afterschool Program provides a safe and enriching environment for children, offering academic support, life skills training, and recreational activities.
Volunteer Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to join our afterschool program. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children in our community. Your role will include:
- Assisting students with homework and academic projects.
- Leading or supporting recreational activities and games.
- Mentoring and providing guidance on life skills.
- Supporting the development of social and emotional skills.
- Helping with the preparation and distribution of snacks.
- Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants.
Requirements:
- A passion for working with children and supporting their growth.
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to commit to at least one day per week, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
- Must pass a background check.
