    Description

    Do you have a passion for design, technology, and education? The Canadian Institute of Stem Innovation/ Stemtopia is looking for a creative volunteer Graphic Designer. Working closely with the Marketing Team and the Social Media Coordinator, you will take the lead on developing Stemtopia’s online presence (infographics, brochures, etc.), help spread awareness of STEM, and share information on our programs and initiatives. This is a remote position within Canada. 

    The Canadian Institute of Stem Innovation / Stemtopia  is a federally registered not for profit regional science technology engineering and math (STEM) program open to all students with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application. The STEM program educates students from preschool to high school. SMAC will specialize in an advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Team 
    • Generate engaging and informative content for the SMAC social media pages and accounts (Website, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
    • Design marketing materials, brochures, infographics, presentations, web elements, etc.as needed 
    • Work on other creative projects and initiatives assigned by Marketing or managers 

    Requirements:

    • Excellent graphic design skills (a current or recent student of Graphic Design or related education would be an asset)
    • Knowledge of Canva, Adobe Suite, and similar programs 
    • Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask 
    • Ability to attend occasional Zoom meetings
