    Description

    Art Group Facilitator

    For more than 35 years, DrawBridge has provided free expressive arts programs in shelters, affordable housing facilities, and community centers across seven San Francisco Bay Area counties. Always free for the families we serve, DrawBridge provides children ages five and up a safe and supportive environment to connect with their community and explore playful creativity that is critical to healthy development.

    Events Facilitators and volunteers lead weekly art activities. Training, program support, professional development opportunities, and art supplies are provided. We ask that art group volunteers be at least 18 years old and commit to six months of service. Experience working with children is preferred. We offer training and support. Volunteers are matched to art groups depending on schedule, location, and group needs

    Hours: 3-10 hours per week; afternoons, evenings, and some weekends

    Qualifications:

    • Demonstrated experience, training, or education in the fields of art, child development, education, psychology, or the social sciences preferred; candidates enrolled in an accredited university working toward a degree in a related field are welcome
    • If Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, or Arabic you are strongly encouraged to apply

    DrawBridge is currently looking to fill roles in the following locations and times:

    To be filled ASAP: Richmond 94801: Tuesdays 12:50pm-2pm

    Library Facilitator:

    Corte Madera Library: Fourth Thursday each month; 3:30-4:30 pm

    Fairfax Library: First Tuesday each month; 3:30-4:30 pm

    Marin City Library: Second Wednesday each month; 4-5 pm

    Point Reyes Library: Second Thursday each month; 3:30-4:30 pm

    South Navato Library: 1 Saturday a month, time TBD

    Oakland location TBD: weekly group 5pm-6pm/6pm-7pm

    Alameda City 94501: 1st and 3rd Wednesday 3:30pm-4:30pm

    East San Jose 95133: Every Tuesday 6pm-7pm.
