Social Media Organizer (Remote)

Michael Bane is on Tennessee's Death Row and has maintained his innocence for 36 years since convicted in Memphis. We are a movement committed to humanizing Michael and drawing attention to his case.

We're looking for a volunteer willing to commit 3-5 hours/week for at least 6-8 weeks toward strengthening our social media presence. Movement leadership will provide content guidance regularly. We are willing to write rec letters, serve as references pending quality of volunteer's work.

Responsibilities

• Synthesizing provided audiovisual and written media about Michael's case into key, compelling points
• Generating 4-7 videos for Tik Tok each week in alignment with movement leadership's weekly objectives (i.e., increasing holiday donations, facilitating a letter-writing campaign, etc.)
• Uploading weekly videos to Google Drive for approval
• Tracking current trends and posting content in alignment with these

Qualifications

• Must have access to Tik Tok or CapCut
• Late high school/early college-level reading and writing skills
• Must be against the death penalty
