    Content Creator (volunteer position)

    The African American Diabetes Association (AADA) is seeking a passionate volunteer to join our team as a Content Creator!

    In this role, you will play a critical role in raising awareness about diabetes and empowering the African American community to live healthier lives. You will use your creativity and communication skills to develop engaging content for our website and social media platforms.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct research on diabetes and its impact on the African American community.
    • Develop informative and engaging content, including blog posts, social media captions, and website copy.
    • Craft content in a variety of formats, such as text, infographics, and video scripts.
    • Maintain a strong brand voice that is consistent with the AADA's mission and messaging.
    • Stay up-to-date on current trends in social media and content marketing.
    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure all content is accurate and culturally relevant.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong understanding of diabetes and its complications (preferred).
    • Excellent writing and editing skills.
    • Experience with content creation for social media and/or websites.
    • A passion for health education and racial health equity.
    • Creativity and a knack for storytelling.
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) a plus.
