    Description

    Make a difference by helping individuals find safe, supportive housing.

    Reach for Resources is looking for a dedicated volunteer to support our housing program through strategic outreach and relationship-building. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, and passionate about community connections and housing advocacy.

    Volunteer Responsibilities:

    • Compile a contact list of property managers and landlords across the Twin Cities metro area
    • Reach out to property owners with vacant units to introduce Reach’s housing support services
    • Explore partnership opportunities with landlords and housing providers
    • Build community connections to expand awareness of Reach’s mission and programs
    • Ask landlords about their preferences and concerns regarding renting to individuals receiving support services
    • Research and document rental license requirements for cities in our service area
    • Update our internal housing spreadsheet with current contact info, unit availability, and housing options
    • Assist with planning and organizing future housing information sessions for landlords, clients, and community members

    We’re looking for someone who:

    • Is comfortable reaching out by phone, email, or in person to build relationships
    • Has strong organizational and communication skills
    • Can work independently and take initiative
    • Is passionate about housing access and community support

    Training & Support:

    Volunteers will receive an overview of Reach’s housing services and ongoing support from our Housing team. You’ll also meet with staff members to align on goals and strategies.

    Impact:

    This role directly supports individuals with disabilities and mental health needs in accessing stable, supportive housing—and helps us grow our network of inclusive housing options across the metro.
