Immersed Global Communication Cooperative is dedicated to expanding world language education and cultural understanding in underserved communities. We believe in the transformative power of language learning to broaden horizons and create opportunities. We are seeking passionate volunteers to join our diverse team in several key roles. Each role is crucial in supporting our mission and making a positive impact in the lives of young people.

Available Volunteer Positions:

1. Research Assistant: Help us deepen our impact through informed strategies by gathering and analyzing data on language learning trends, educational needs, and community resources. Ideal candidates should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in academic or market research.
2. Programming Volunteer: Assist in the development and implementation of engaging language and cultural programs. Tasks include curriculum development, resource coordination, and program evaluation. This role is perfect for those with a background in education, particularly in language teaching, and a creative flair for educational content.
3. TikTok Content Creator: We're looking for a creative and tech-savvy volunteer to manage our TikTok account, creating inspiring, educational, and engaging content that promotes our mission and programs. This role requires someone with a good eye for video trends, proficiency in video editing, and a passion for storytelling.
4. Outreach and Partnership Assistant: Support our efforts to expand our network by identifying potential community partners, assisting with proposal writing, and maintaining relationships with existing partners. This role is suited for individuals with strong communication skills, a persuasive writing style, and a knack for networking.
5. Event/Workshop Assistant: Help organize and facilitate our language workshops and cultural events. Responsibilities include event planning, coordination, and on-site management. This role is ideal for someone with organizational skills, experience in event management, and a passion for community engagement.

Commitment: We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 months, with flexibility in hours depending on the role. Most roles require between 5-10 hours per week, which can be conducted remotely or in person, depending on the task and current health guidelines. We prefer volunteers who reside within the DMV area to facilitate attendance at community events and in-person meetings.
