Are you a motivated leader passionate about empowering children and fostering community impact? Join our nonprofit organization as the Volunteer Community Impact Day Committee Chair! In this key leadership role, you’ll oversee and coordinate the efforts of the Community Impact Day Committee, ensuring the success of our annual event and advancing our No Child Without mission: no child should go without school supplies, hygiene kits, clean socks, and backpacks each school year.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the Community Impact Day Committee, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and on time.
• Oversee the planning and execution of all event-related activities, including:
  • Fundraising: Guide committee efforts to secure donations and sponsorships.
  • School Outreach & Communications: Ensure schools and community organizations are engaged and informed.
  • Distribution Strategy: Supervise the planning of supply distribution logistics.
  • Supplier Relations: Oversee partnerships with suppliers and donors to secure needed items.
  • Financial Management: Work with the committee to track budgets and align expenses with organizational goals.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Support recruitment, training, and management of event volunteers.
• Act as the primary liaison between the committee and the Board of Directors, providing updates and insights.
• Facilitate committee meetings and foster collaboration and accountability among members.
• Address challenges and adapt plans to ensure the event’s success.

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Experience in event planning, fundraising, or team management (preferred but not required).
• Ability to oversee multiple projects and delegate effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Passion for community service and alignment with our mission.

Time Commitment:

Approximately 3-6 hours per month, with increased involvement leading up to Community Impact Day.
