    Creshendo is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering displaced populations through innovative, community-led programs. We provide migrants and refugees with essential tools to build self-reliance, advocate for themselves, and integrate into new environments.

    Role Overview

    As our PR Specialist, you will develop and implement PR strategies to enhance Creshendo’s visibility, engage stakeholders, and amplify our mission. This is a volunteer role with the flexibility to shape impactful communications that support a global cause.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategy Development: Design and execute PR campaigns to increase awareness of Creshendo’s mission and programs.
    • Media Relations: Establish and nurture relationships with journalists, influencers, and media outlets to secure positive coverage.
    • Content Creation: Write and edit press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials to highlight Creshendo’s work and impact.
    • Social Media Support: Collaborate with the social media team to align PR efforts with digital outreach and enhance our online presence.
    • Crisis Communication: Provide guidance and develop responses as needed for timely and effective crisis communication.

    Qualifications

    Ideal candidates:

    • Proven experience in public relations or communications, ideally within the nonprofit or social impact sector.
    • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
    • Media contacts and experience in pitching stories are a plus.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media tools.
    • Availability to dedicate at least 5 hours per week.
