Medical Translator

This position is responsible for the accurate interpretation via face-to-face health care information to and from various language-speaking patients / patient families and health care providers.

Accurately interpret medical and health care information/instructions from physicians, nurses, or other health care staff to non-English speaking patients/families in a consecutive or simultaneous mode in Health Care and department's established standards

• Considerable knowledge of both English and other languages.
• Skill in translating spoken words
• Requires the ability to speak in another language and English to convey or exchange information.
• Requires the ability to read a variety of correspondence, etc. in English and other languages
• Requires the ability to write using standard conventions in English and other languages
