    Description

    Unveiling Roots is a compelling docu-series that follows American Descendants of Slavery in Tennessee as they discover the identities and stories of their enslaved ancestors. We are seeking a dedicated volunteer camera operator to assist in capturing these pivotal and emotional moments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate a personal camera to film various segments of the docu-series.
    • Capture high-quality footage of interviews, genealogical discoveries, and other significant events.
    • Collaborate with the primary camera team to ensure comprehensive coverage.
    • Provide unedited footage to the 95 Counties team lead promptly.

    Requirements:

    • Must own a personal camera capable of recording high-definition video or even an iphone (if you have experience using it to film).
    • Prior experience in camera operation and filming.
    • Ability to follow direction and work cohesively with the production team.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to capturing the essence of each moment.
    • Reliable transportation to various filming locations across Tennessee.

    Additional Opportunities: While the immediate need is for a camera operator, there are various other roles and opportunities within the Unveiling Roots project. Volunteers may have the chance to become more involved as the project progresses.
