Cultural Immersion & Arabic Lessons
Volunteering in Hebron goes beyond teaching. You will be fully immersed in Palestinian culture, daily life, and history. Volunteers can choose to live with a Palestinian host family or in a shared dorm at the Center, ensuring an authentic experience. Interacting with children also provides a playful and natural way to learn the Palestinian dialect of Arabic.
Additionally, all volunteers receive free Arabic language lessons (3 hours per week), helping you develop valuable language skills to engage with the local community more effectively.
Engage with the Community
Your time in Palestine will include visits to cultural and political sites, refugee camps, human rights organizations, local universities, businesses, and natural landmarks. These experiences provide a well-rounded understanding of Palestinian life, culture, and challenges, enriching your volunteer journey.
Ensuring a Safe Environment for Children
Volunteers working with children are required to complete a safeguarding interview to ensure they understand their responsibilities and the protocols in place to protect children from abuse.
