    Description

    The Vaclav Havel Center is seeking volunteers to support a landmark public lecture in New York City featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Anne Applebaum, author of Twilight of Democracy and staff writer for The Atlantic.

    The event, hosted at Bohemian National Hall on Wednesday, May 1, will bring together civic, academic, and cultural leaders for an evening focused on the rise of authoritarianism and the power of democratic ideals.

    We are looking for reliable, friendly, and enthusiastic volunteers to help us ensure a smooth and welcoming event experience.

    Volunteer Roles Available:

    • Check-In & Guest Greeting: Assist with registration and welcome guests
    • Reception Support: Help with light setup and wine service during post-event reception
    • Event Photography: Capture key moments, atmosphere, and audience engagement (please bring your own camera if applying for this role)
