This Spring, you can join a team of 5-6 volunteers to complete a strategic project for Community News Lab. You'll not only make a tangible difference, but also gain invaluable experience through interactive workshops (hosted by Full Circle Fund) focusing on stakeholder interviewing, values exploration, and systems lens thinking.

Project Description: Community News Lab has a goal of building digital bulletin boards to bridge the divide between local news outlets and everyday San Francisco residents. The project deliverable is a simple but scalable ads platform that includes:

• Backend CMS to store and manage ads
• Frontend for advertisers to upload and submit ads
• Frontend (Kiosk) that rotates ads in real-time on X by X screens

Timeline: February 19th - June 11th 2025

Time Commitment: 8-10 hours a month

• Monthly Full Circle Workshops (1.5 hours each)
• Weekly team meetings (virtual/in-person - scheduled by team)
• Weekly/bi-weekly partner check-ins (virtual/in-person - doesn't require full team attendance)
• Project Work (completed on your own time)

Location: This is a hybrid program and all in-person activities take place in San Francisco at 650 California St.
