    Description

    Intentional Volunteering for Choice

    Intentional volunteering.

Just like a coach with a plan for his team, we at Choice Hospice have a great plan for our volunteers. If you are able to volunteer 1-2 hours a week or every other week, we will get you going.

At Choice Hospice we believe in helping relieve the pressure of patients/family members /caregivers with basic tasks helping them live the best life they can for their whole life.

We have several simple things our volunteers can do to help our families in need.

    Things that volunteers can do:

    • sit with patient and read to them
    • stay for an hour with a patient while the caregiver goes to the bank, grocery store or post office
    • do light chores
    • offer To go to store, post office or run errand
    • help a patient call a loved one
    • play music. If you have access to a smart phone you can access music from a bygone era (on YouTube) that is appreciated by patients who may no longer be able to access their favorite music, big band sound, soothing music, or hymns.)
    • bring cookies
    • sew a fleece throw

A simple list of things most anyone could do, the key is time. If you have a window of time, we would love for you to join our incredible medical team and office staff.

Contact me and let's get you started.
