    Job Description: The DMV Music Alliance is looking for individuals to work with management to develop fundraising strategies and with a team of fundraising assistants to plan, organize, and execute a variety of fundraising activities to secure financial support and engage donors. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with management to develop and implement effective strategies aligned with organizational goals.
    • Research and identify potential funding sources, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
    • Coordinate and manage fundraising campaigns, including online giving, crowdfunding, and special fundraising events.
    • Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop compelling fundraising materials.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's CRM database.
    • Help recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for fundraising team.
    • Identify and build relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
    • Assist in creating annual fundraising plans and budgets, setting targets, and monitoring progress.
    • Develop strategies to engage and steward donors, including personalized acknowledgments, donor recognition programs, and regular updates on the impact of their contributions.

    Requirements:

    • Experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit development.
    • Knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.
    • Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging and innovative ideas.
    • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors and volunteers.
    • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
    • Experience with fundraising software, CRM databases, and online fundraising platforms.
    • Understanding of ethical fundraising practices and donor stewardship.
    • Passion for the organization's mission and the ability to effectively communicate its impact to donors and stakeholders.
