Position: Full-Stack Developer (Volunteer)
Project: Radiology AI Chatbot
Commitment: Part-time, Remote
Duration: Flexible (3-6 months or ongoing)
About the Project
We are building a cutting-edge Radiology AI Chatbot to assist medical professionals by providing AI-generated insights on radiology reports. The chatbot will be developed using Vercel AI Chatbot as a base template (GitHub Repo) and integrated with advanced machine learning models for medical imaging analysis.
Responsibilities
- Customize and extend the Vercel AI Chatbot template to support radiology-specific conversations.
- Develop front-end components using Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS.
- Implement back-end functionalities using Node.js, Python (for AI models), and databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Firebase, or MongoDB).
- Integrate AI models (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, or custom trained models) for radiology analysis.
- Ensure HIPAA-compliant security and privacy best practices for handling medical data.
- Deploy and manage the chatbot on Vercel and other cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with other developers, data scientists, and medical professionals.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
- Experience with Node.js and Python (for AI model integration).
- Familiarity with Vercel, serverless architecture, and cloud deployments.
- Experience with AI/ML APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Database management experience (SQL, NoSQL, or Firebase).
- Knowledge of authentication/security best practices (JWT, OAuth, HIPAA compliance is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with medical AI applications or healthcare-related projects.
- Understanding of DICOM and radiology image processing.
- Previous contributions to open-source AI/chatbot projects.
- Passion for healthcare technology and AI-driven innovations.
