    Canine Miracles for Heroes is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of veterans and emergency personnel by pairing them with trained service dogs. Our mission is to support the mental health and overall well-being of our heroes through the healing power of these canine companions. We are passionate about making a difference, and we're looking for a skilled Email Marketing Specialist to help spread awareness, build relationships, and grow our community.

    Job Overview

    We are seeking a compassionate and results-oriented Email Marketing Specialist to develop and execute our email marketing campaigns and newsletter. The ideal candidate will have experience in nonprofit marketing, a deep understanding of donor engagement, and a passion for making a meaningful impact. You will play a vital role in communicating our mission, engaging supporters, and driving fundraising initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Plan and execute email marketing campaigns and newsletters to engage donors, supporters, and volunteers, focusing on fundraising, awareness, and events.

    Develop and manage the email marketing calendar, including key campaigns for fundraising drives, donor updates, and community events.

    Create compelling email content, including donor stories, program updates, and impact reports, to strengthen the relationship with our audience.

    Use A/B testing to optimize email performance, focusing on subject lines, content structure, and calls-to-action.

    Analyze and report on key email performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, donations) and provide insights to improve future campaigns.

    Segment email lists based on donor engagement, interests, and donation history to personalize communication and maximize outreach.

    Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR) and maintain data integrity within our subscriber database.

    Collaborate with our fundraising, design, and social media teams to create visually appealing and informative emails that drive engagement.

    Stay informed of nonprofit marketing trends, especially in digital fundraising and donor retention.

    Qualifications

    Degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field helpful

    Proficiency with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot).

    Strong understanding of email marketing metrics and fundraising strategies.

    Experience with donor databases and CRM systems (Salesforce, DonorPerfect, or similar).

    Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey emotional impact through email.

    Familiarity with nonprofit email marketing best practices and compliance.

    Ability to work independently and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with nonprofit fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies.

    Knowledge of digital fundraising platforms and automation tools.

    Passion for service dogs, veterans, first responders, or mental health support.

    Experience with HTML/CSS for email customization.
