    Are you ready to help make history? Join The Bailey Foundation’s Event Committee as a Public Relations & Community Engagement Chair (Volunteer) for The BIG 25– Official Guinness World Record Attempt for the largest food collection drive EVER! You’ll be at the heart of a movement that’s all about service, unity, and empowering communities. From sharing powerful stories to sparking media buzz, your efforts will inspire people everywhere to join in and make a real difference.

    Role Overview

    Media Relations and Pitching:

    • Support ongoing media outreach to secure features, interviews, and collaborations that highlight The BIG 25’s mission.
    • Identify opportunities to pitch human-interest stories and compelling narratives to local, regional, and national outlets.
    • Assist in developing tailored pitches for media, influencers, and partners based on The Bailey Foundation’s storytelling strategy.
    • Serve as a point of contact for journalists, influencers, and partners to ensure consistent messaging and a seamless experience.

    Content Creation and Social Media:

    • Collaborate on creating engaging content such as testimonials, milestones, and event updates to fuel media interest and social engagement.
    • Monitor social media platforms to engage with participants, answer questions, and share updates using event-specific hashtags.
    • Document stories, quotes, and visuals during event preparations and on event day to use in real-time and post-event communications.

    Community Engagement and Partnerships:

    • Build relationships with local influencers, community leaders, and organizations to amplify The BIG 25’s call to action.
    • Assist in recruiting volunteers and partners to support the event and promote unity across communities.
    • Represent The Bailey Foundation at community events, sharing the significance of The BIG 25 and driving interest in participation.

    Storytelling and Feature Development:

    • Identify and develop narratives that showcase the impact of The Bailey Foundation and The BIG 25, such as:
      • Personal stories of volunteers or families impacted by the campaign.
      • Behind-the-scenes glimpses of the planning and execution of this record-breaking event.
      • Milestone moments that highlight collaboration and community involvement.

    Event Day Support:

    • Be a friendly face for media, influencers, and VIPs at the event, making sure they have everything they need to share the magic of The BIG 25.
    • Keep the message clear and consistent across all event sites and materials.
    • Capture the unforgettable moments—big and small—that will keep people talking about The BIG 25 long after the day is over.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • You love a good story and know how to tell it! Strong communication skills are key.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories.
    • Experience with or interest in media pitching, storytelling, and digital marketing (experience preferred).
    • A passion for community empowerment and making a tangible impact.
    • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
    • Self-driven, organized and forward-thinking approach necessary
    • Availability for regular meetings, event preparations, and participation on the event day (May, 2025).

    Time Commitment:

    • Flexible role averaging 10-15 hours per week leading up to the event.
    • A little extra time may be needed as we get closer to the big day (May XX, 2025).
