    ABOUT WOMEN EMPOWERED INTERNATIONAL

    Women Empowered International (WE-ONG) is a non-profit organization based in Martinsburg, WV, dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable populations in the United States and abroad by advocating for the rights of women and children. The organization focuses on education, awareness, training, gender promotion, economic justice and financial inclusion, women's and children's rights, and sexual and reproductive health.

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Executive Director leads the administration of Women Empowered International, setting and implementing strategic goals and ensuring the organization has the necessary resources. They report to the Board of Directors and recruit and manage the staff of volunteers, overseeing the following areas:

    • 20% Strategic Leadership: Set and implement long-term vision and strategic plan, represent the organization in the community, and build relationships.
    • 30% Administration and Operations: Provide strategic direction for internal operations, manage resources, and develop administrative systems.
    • 20% Fundraising: Develop and execute fundraising plans, cultivate donor relationships, and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
    • 10% Programming: Oversee program design and implementation, measure outcomes, and supervise the Program Director.
    • 10% Communications: Develop and implement integrated communications strategy, maintain the organization's voice, and manage online presence.
    • 10% Finance: Provide financial oversight, manage budgets, and supervise bookkeeping tasks.

    HOURS AND COMMITMENT

    The Executive Director will work 20 hours per week from home with a flexible schedule and a 6-month commitment. This role is a volunteer position with no benefits or health insurance coverage.
