Volunteer at United Nations Program through Ecosoc Status of Hecho por Nosotros

We are seeking dedicated volunteers to join our team responsible for planning and executing side events at the United Nations forums. Our immediate focus is on organizing a side event at the upcoming High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.  This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful global discussions and gain valuable experience in international event coordination.

Main Tasks:

• Writing concept notes, oral statements and academic papers
• Follow opportunities at UN official agenda: Search for relevant events in the UN agenda and register Hecho por Nosotros for participation
• Follow meetings with Unece, Unep, ILO, ITC, among others
• Event Organization: Collaborate in the planning and execution of side events, including logistics, coordination with leaders, key note speakers speakers, and event promotion.
• Report Writing: Document the proceedings and outcomes of side events, producing comprehensive reports for internal and external use.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s in International Relations, Social Sciences, Communications or a related field.  
• UN System Knowledge: Familiarity with the United Nations system and its institutions.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
• Availability: Must be available during Argentinian mornings (GMT-3) and from July 10-19. Immediate start is required.
• Commitment: Ability to commit to 3 hours daily for at least 4 days a week.
