    Touch Hearts, Change Lives: Volunteer with Three Oaks Hospice

    Three Oaks Hospice is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Hospice Volunteers. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in providing support to patients and their families during their end-of-life journey. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while gaining valuable experience in a healthcare setting.

    Responsibilities:

    Patient Care (Non-Medical):

    • Offer companionship and emotional support to patients facing terminal illness.
    • Engage in meaningful conversations, read to patients, or simply listen to their stories.
    • Assist with activities of daily living, such as meal preparation, grooming, and light household tasks.
    • Accompany patients on short walks or outings as appropriate and desired.
    • Provide respite care to family caregivers, allowing them time to rest and recharge.

    Administrative/Clerical Duties:

    • Assist with filing, organizing, and maintaining patient records.
    • Answer phones, take messages, and relay information to appropriate staff members.
    • Prepare informational packets and educational materials for patients and families.
    • Help with general office tasks such as data entry, copying, and scanning documents.
