Volunteer Anesthesiology Teaching Assistant

Position Overview:

The Anesthesiology Teaching Assistant supports faculty in teaching introductory anesthesiology courses, conducting virtual demonstrations of anesthetic procedures, and assisting students with applying anesthesiology techniques and principles.

Location: Remote

Start Time: Jan 6, 2025

Time Commitment: 2 to 6 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• • Lab Assistance: Assist in virtual labs focusing on anesthesiology techniques and safety protocols.
  • Teaching Support: Lead online discussion sessions, hold office hours, and assist with course materials.
  • Grading: Grade assignments, quizzes, and exams, and maintain student progress records.
  • Student Support: Provide clarification and assistance to students in understanding anesthesiology principles and practices.
  • Safety and Procedure Oversight: Enforce safety protocols in simulated anesthesiology exercises.

Qualifications:

• • Bachelor’s degree in Anesthesiology, Biology, or a related field; graduate students preferred.
  • Strong understanding of anesthesiology techniques and pharmacology.
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate complex topics in an accessible manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
