About VIBE

VIBE (Venice Institute of Boundless Expression) is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to providing free, immersive, and culturally diverse artistic experiences for Los Angeles youth. Our mission is to break down barriers to the arts, foster creative expression, and build an inclusive community where young people can explore, learn, and grow through artistic experiences.

We are seeking a Program Director to oversee and expand VIBE’s educational programs, workshops, and community events. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about arts education, youth development, and community engagement, with experience in program coordination and leadership.

Role Overview

The Program Director will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating VIBE’s arts education and outreach initiatives. This includes planning workshops, managing partnerships, engaging artists and educators, and ensuring the successful execution of programs that align with VIBE’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop arts-based programs, workshops, and community events.
• Recruit and collaborate with artists, educators, and guest speakers to lead immersive experiences.
• Manage partnerships with schools, community centers, and arts organizations.
• Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and materials.
• Track program participation, outcomes, and impact through evaluation and reporting.
• Assist in fundraising efforts, grant writing, and securing sponsorships to sustain and grow programming.
• Ensure all programs align with VIBE’s mission of accessibility, inclusion, and cultural representation.

Qualifications

• Experience in arts programming, nonprofit management, education, or community engagement.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple programs and events.
• Passion for arts education, youth mentorship, and cultural expression.
• Ability to work collaboratively with artists, educators, and community partners.
• Experience with grant writing, fundraising, or program budgeting is a plus.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, project management tools, and social media outreach is a plus.
