    About Us

    Monkton Wyld Court is a historic education centre and eco-community offering accommodation, workshops, and events. We host guests, volunteers, and educational groups in a unique rural setting. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to ensure our accommodation and communal spaces are clean, welcoming, and well-maintained.

    Role Summary

    As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our guest rooms, communal areas, and facilities. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys creating a comfortable space for guests and residents, and can work independently or as part of a team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Cleaning & Housekeeping: Ensure all guest rooms, communal areas, and shared facilities are cleaned to a high standard.
    • Laundry Management: Wash, dry, and fold bed linens, towels, and other laundry items as needed.
    • Stocking Supplies: Keep track of and replenish cleaning products, toiletries, and household essentials.
    • Guest Turnover: Prepare rooms for new guests, ensuring beds are made, rooms are tidy, and essentials are stocked.
    • Waste Management: Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling practices are followed.
    • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to hygiene and safety standards, reporting any maintenance issues as needed.
    • Supporting Volunteers: Work alongside volunteers, providing guidance on cleaning standards and routines.

    Requirements

    • Experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or hospitality (preferred but not essential).
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
    • A proactive and flexible approach to tasks.
    • Interest in sustainable and eco-friendly cleaning practices is a plus.
